Strawberry Cobbler


4 cups cut up strawberries
3/4 cup water
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1 3/4 cup self rising flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place berries in a 9×13 greased baking dish. Mix water and 3/4 cup of the sugar; mix well and pour over berries. Mix flour, butter, and the rest of the sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the berry mixture. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Optional: serve with ice cream.

The best times as a girl were picking strawberries for summer money. We'd be so dirty that our Mom would make us change our clothes out in the garage, and the best fights were throwing strawberries at the boys we had crushes on! Well and eating the biggest berries too, didn't make much money but sure had fun, and the recipe sounds great and easy, thanks
